Coordinated Construction Site Planning

PlanTogether visualizes planned construction projects on clearly organized maps in advance and provides these to all participants via a web browser. Thus, potential need for coordination can be determined long before the start of construction. Planning of different sectors, such as gas, water and electricity are gathered centrally. News in construction planning can be communicated to the involved persons automatically.

Advantages of PlanTogether

PlanTogether helps coordinating various projects, which use public space for a certain period of time.

PlanTogether provides an overview to all involved parties so they have the same level of knowledge. The role-based authorization concept ensures that all applicants only have insight into the information they need for their work. PlanTogether creates transparency on the coordination process. It is at all times comprehensible who entered or edited which data. The automatisms of PlanTogether help to recognize possible conflicts immediately. The involved sectors and companies can still manage their planning projects in their own planning system – PlanTogether synchronizes changes promptly.

PlanTogether cannot replace cooperation and reconciliations – but it can make coordination, simpler, clearer, more transparent, and therefore, more efficient.

PlanTogether ends problems like digging up the same hole again and again

PlanTogether – an Overview

PlanTogether supports the proactive planning of larger construction projects with different time horizons:

  • Collection of all planned constructions activities (planning objects) for a consistent form for as long as possible
  • Recording of planning objects: interactive or via the automatic alignment with other systems
  • Recording of restricted areas (e.g. event locations – so participants of a city marathon will not fall into construction pits)
  • Visual overview of all construction projects on one map or in a list. These can be filtered according to various criteria (e.g. time, type of the construction activity). The allocation to different areas is denoted in different styles or color codes.
  • Consistent display and editing of meta-data on planning projects (e.g. adjustment of the planning status)
  • Adding additional documents such as detail plans or photos of a planning object
  • Providing a revision history for all planning objects
  • Automated determination of synergies and/or conflicts: The rules can be defined independently – the classic is the position related overlap or proximity of planning projects. Additional criteria such as temporal vicinity or using the same construction company can be included as well.
  • Automated email reports of the involved applicants, if synergies or conflicts are detected.
  • Pooling planning projects into joint ventures: If synergies between planning project are identified, they can be marked as a common project.
