The database management system (Smallworld Version Managed Data Store, VMDS) meets all relevant requirements such as multi-user, and authorization concepts, version management, conflict management and data protection. Equally there is the possibility to use the Smallworld Core Spatial Technology based on Oracle databases.

Spatial data that are available in different proprietary data formats, can be connected via Smallworld Spatial Object Manager (SOM) on the fly. For integration with other major systems of enterprise IT (ERP, WFM, OMS, CRM), there are corresponding interfaces.
